Шторм «Али» обрушился на Британские острова. Первыми под удар стихии попали Ирландия и Северная Ирландия. Сильный ветер, порывы которого на западе острова достигали 143 км/ч, валит деревья, повреждены здания и машины. Нарушено автомобильное, железнодорожное и авиасообщение.
В Великобритании максимальный порыв ветра зафиксирован в шотландском городе Данди. Он составил 164,5 км/ч, сообщает Sky News.
Погибли 2 человека.
Первый инцидент произошел в кемпинге в деревне Кладдадафф ирландского графства Голуэй. Караван, в котором спала женщина, ветром сдуло с утеса в море, сообщает RTÉ. Кроме того, на одной из дорог водитель получил ранения из-за упавшего на его машину дерева.
