В регионе Великих Равнин на Среднем Западе США вновь бушуют торнадо. Одна из воронок 6 июля крушила деревья в Южной Дакоте. Но гораздо более ненастно было 8 июля на западе центральной части штата Миннесота. Здесь зафиксированы мноочисленные смерчи. Повреждены дома и фермы. Известно об одном погибшем в округе Оттер-Тейл, сообщает The Washington Post.
При этом в мае и июне, которые являются здесь самыми ненастными месяцами, торнадо почти не было. И к июлю их общее количество было наименьшим за всю историю наблюдений.
