Угрозы для населенных пунктов представляли несколько возгораний. В результате сгорели по меньшей мере 100 домов. Известно об одном погибшем, более 30 человек получили ранения, сообщает австралийская вещательная корпорация ABC.
Из опасных районов эвакуировано население. Информация об ущербе и пострадавших уточняется.
Погодные условия улучшились, но в некоторых местах сохраняется чрезвычайная пожароопасность. С огнем продолжают бороться более тысячи пожарных.
