Тропический шторм «Мария» прошел Гуам и продолжает движение на северо-запад в Филиппинском море. Днем 5 июля он находился в 153 км от острова. Скорость ветра достигает 112 км/ч. Штормовое предупреждение продолжает действовать в южной части Северных Марианских островов, сообщает Национальная метеорологическая служба США на Гуаме.

На Гуаме ветер повалил деревья, в некоторых районах возникли проблемы с электроснабжением. Информация о пострадавших пока не поступала.

Tropical Depression 10W made its way through Guam with heavy rain and winds on Wednesday night. As of Thursday morning, parts of the island were left without power due to down power lines. Cross Island Road was closed on Thursday morning due to two downed wooden power poles, as GPA re-routed power around that affect area and restore power to some villages in the South. DPW crews along with various village Mayor's crews were out taking part in clean-up efforts around the island clearing the roadway of debris and fallen trees. Waves could be seen crashing into the island's coastline, but a few residents were out taking advantage of the surf in Talofofo Bay.
