Юго-восток Австралии пострадал от ненастной погоды. Предупреждения о сильном ветре, проливных дождях и угрозе наводнений были объявлены на южном побережье штата Новый Южный Уэльс и в восточных районах штата Виктория.
В Новом Южном Уэльсе, где выпало до 350 мм осадков, подтоплены населенные пункты, повалено большое количество деревьев, а волны на побережье достигали 11 м. С 25 июля спасатели получили 2200 обращений о помощи, в том числе с затопленных дорог от автомобилистов и от фермеров, которым нужно было спасать скот, передает телеканал 9News.
