Жертвами селевых потоков в округе Санта-Барбара американского штата Калифорния стали по меньшей мере 17 человек. Еще 17 жителей остаются пропавшими без вести. 28 человек получили ранения. Разрушены 100 домов, еще 300 повреждены, сообщает телеканал KABC.

Селевые потоки, вызванные проливными дождями, обрушились на пострадавшие от лесных пожаров районы Санта-Барбары в ночь на 9 января. Несколько тысяч человек прислушались заранее покинули свои дома. Сильнее всего пострадали престижные районы Монтесито и Карпинтерия, сообщает «Голос Америки».
